Sorry Anny, but unless you've lost the use of your ears, are you telling me, both home and away, that you don't get people voicing the same sort of nonsense at the match as you have got in this thread coz you do.

Then we miss out on what could be the next English superstar. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but if you don't get yourself on a level playing field then you won't be able to compete for these players.

If that is what they are banking on then they are heading for a fall. Highbury wasn't full before Wenger, and when Wenger finally ups sticks and the dynasty falls aprt, they will end up with a half/three quarter full stadium.

What is the "right price" though? Are you not cutting off your nose to spite your face by not agreeing to pay a bit extra for someone you really want? If we had done this previously we may have a RM by now, instead of having to play the best midfielder in Europe on the right as we have no-one else who can competently fill in.

It is very depressing that we can't seem to be in the hunt for someone like Walcott. With all the financial restraints Arsenal have, they can stump uop this sort of cash but we can't? Why?

That's fecking rich coming from someone who manages about 1 home gamea season (unless it's a big CL game of course).

We couldn't just do with one - we need a first choice one. What's changed since the summer? We have Kromkamp and he plays Gerrard there. That surely can't be the way forward for the rest of the season. Can it?

Midweek????????

Anyone know when they are?

Smoke and mirrors - I hope.

And his point of going to a football match is?

How much do they charge for the Reds Bar, as that is the next tickets down to the ones I have, and I'd be interested to know what they charge for individual games.

He hasn't got a ticket to the match, just the (wrong) flight ticket.

Didn't realise you had? Sorry mate, it was too good to pass up on. You got it sorted yet?

He's just sussed on, after I told him, that he's bvooked his flights for the wrong adtes for the Benfica match. As it stand he leaves on the Monday and comes back on the Tuesday, 10 hours before the match starts. Silly old duffer.

Did it before you.

If so you are fecking deluded. Stelios (average at best) at 1-3 million is the best we can get as we have no money. Every time this is brought up it's shouted down by the people who know better. Well, IMO this just proves it. the best we can get is a squad player at Bolton when we need a first teamer. Best playesr mu a***. Stelios IS NOT top drawer but wil probably be our first choice RM. We are not in the position to pay out the sort of fees we need to to attact real quality, and if Owen doesn't come it's because we won't shell out for him. One thing is for sure, we do not have 15 million PLUS the money for Owen as is regularly mooted by people on this board who seem to know better than everone else. The club is run like a corner shop and so therefore be prepared for bargain basement players.
