It's one of the only stats that tells you the real story. From the shots we have had against us, we were expected to concede 3 goals, we have conceded 1, thats down to Alisson stopping 2 shots he wouldnt have been expected to save, but did. Only Oblak and De Gea had a better % for this last season. It means he is stopping shots that are expected to go in. It means hes very f***ing good.
There was a passage of play that Gomez was involved in (and was brilliant in) that Leicester game that was the most complicated thing I've seen in a game in years. think it might have been before the Alisson thing.
Think that mistake was perfect for him, he wont do that again. He's a miles better keeper than either of those two and makes very important saves too, so there is absolutely no comparison.
Good player Henderson, they all are, just not as a three please, we missing a spark. Ox balanced it all so well, hopefully Naby can do similar, although ideally you'd have him as the box to box player in there with someone holding and someone (like Ox) in front for balance.
Cant play Henderson, Milner and Wij in the same team and expect domination. All good individually, but not enough there between them. I remember Sky kept posting about what a midfield we were going to have with Fabinho, Keita and Fekir. That would have been something.
Shaqiri, Sturridge, Fabinho, Lallana, Henderson, Matip/Lovren, Clyne. All very good players who are going to have a huge part to play over the next couple of months. Feels great to have a top squad that is built for this finally.
He's good, but is capable of some moments that are beyond your usual man, some extreme happenings that occur at the precise moment he has just convinced you hes very good (again) and it is then when you realise that you have been flummoxed again and tell yourself you will never be drawn in again, until the next time...
