Yeah, but the thing is, these other people were never told they had tickets just that there was a chance that they might be successful in the ballot. It's fairer to ensure that people who were told they definately had tickets, get them.
How the f*** does it jeopardise the staff's safety? All they have to do is re-issue the stolen tickets in a different colour to the originals and turn anyone with an original away, it's hardly rocket science. If anything it will discourage touting, because who's going to buy a ticket from a tout knowing there's a good chance it's one of the nicked ones?
About f***ing time too. Nice to see Parry's choice of words - "We will continue our dialogue with Football Association officials in an attempt to ensure that a very important part of the football family ? as many Liverpool fans as possible - have the opportunity to attend the English game's showpiece occasion." This would be the same 'football family' that the FA are giving a third of the tickets to, you can bet your a*** that if 1600 corporate tickets were nicked, the FA would move hell and high-water to get them reissued.
Got sorted in Bristol http://www.corushotels.co.uk/hotel.asp?hotelID=17 £80 for a twin room in what looks like a very posh place. Bit more than I hoped to pay, but f*** it.
According to PA Sport, "Real Madrid include Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard on their list of transfer targets, according to the club`s footballing director Benito Floro." Why they think anyone would want to join that circus of a team is beyong me.
He still hasn't been given an extended run in the side as a striker. Considering the ammount of leeway an underperforming Morientes is shown, Cisse should be given a run of four or five games up front to prove himself.
