  1. There's about as much chance of Arsenal selling him to us as there is of the blue s**** selling us Arteta
  2. Rushy is still phenomenal though - he's still better than alot of current strikers!!
  3. anyone found a live stream for this game yet?
  4. Stupid thread. There are not many reds who wouldn't have been pleased to be in our current position if they'd have been asked at the start of the season. Yet now we're here, hardly anyone's happy?! The kind of reactions on here recently are something I'd expect to see on a Chelsea or Arsenal forum, as they are the clubs who are actually struggling out of the so-called top 4. As has been already mentioned by other, more sensible posters on here, it just so happens that the Mancs have had an incredible run thus far, with a squad alot more expensive and more established (in terms of the time they've played together) than ours. I think Rafa has done a great job so far, despite the various off field distractions. I can't see any other manager out there being able to get much more out of this squad than Rafa has so far. We're in the best league position we've been in for years, and yet so many fans are reacting like we're struggling in mid-table with nothing to play for. It's f***ing baffling!
  5. Not too often we can say this, but Rafa's substitutions were spot on today!
  6. We've gone all gung-ho - Rafa's really lost the plot!! good attacking display so far though, we should go on to win this if we can keep this up

    Torres

  8. Dossena appears to be on some kind of mission too!
  9. A bit harsh on Dossena. I seem to remember watching Evra's first few games for the mancs and thinking he was complete s****. I'm not saying that Dossena is as good, but at least let him get settled and then see what we've got.
  10. i'm sure he wasn't even on the bench yesterday - is Sami really our 3rd best central defender, or was Rafa just keeping him sweet after the CL squad thing?
  11. Anyone know why Agger hasn't really had a look in so far this season? Seems very odd that he hasn't really played, and not even in the squad yesterday - or is he injured again?
  12. I think i'd prefer that one to one that contains voronin and pennant though
  13. So the only squad numbers still not taken from 1 to 35 (barring 13 for obvious reasons) are 6 and 11.... assuming 6 has been reserved for GB, are we to read anything into the fact that 11 remains untaken? hmmm ......
  14. which channel on sopcast?
  15. Surely that's assuming Parry is half competent at his job...
  16. Could that be why rafa has only opted for (seemingly) a squad player as his signing for right back - does he have Carra in mind as his first choice in that position, with Degen (and Arbeloa) as back up? I can't really see it as, if anything, he offers even less that Finnan going forward

    Agger

Any one seen or heard of any updates as to whether Agger is likely to be fit for the start of pre-season? If so, what's everyone's opinions on our likely preferred pairing of centre backs - if it's gonna be Agger & Skrtel, is Carra dropable? Unless Degen has a nightmare, I can't see Carra being our preferred right back...
  18. Ramsay was shown round the mancs training facilities by Gary Neville - hardly the best way to impress the kid! Especially when they could have used Giggs, given the obvious links (ie that he's welsh and a winger). Another factor is that Arsenal have apparently offered straight cash for the deal, in contrast to Utd's offer of the same amount but linked to appearances & achievements.
  19. made me laugh last night when Keys was trying to make a joke out of Souness's obvious annoyance at the rest of the panel's failure to give us any credit for beating arsenal, saying to him something like "somethings obviously put you in bad mood", cue Souey's response to Keys "actually it's you that annoys me" (or something along those lines)
  20. But to still win despite our two most creative midfielders having an off night shows a bit of progress IMO - in recent seasons if Gerrard and/or Alonso didn't play well, it inevitably meant that the whole team struggled. Nice to see we're starting to get rid of that over-reliance.
  21. I'm almost certain he played in the Copa del Rey this season, and I'm equally almost certain that he is one of the main reasons for Madrid no longer being in said tournament!
  22. f*** him, we already have "the next Henry" in Babel. we need to focus on other areas of our squad - mainly the right hand side.
