Ulster bank have no private equity arm, so this will not be any king of investment approach from them. This will be LFC approaching them to borrow money. To be honest since we changed advisors from Hawkpoint to PwC, PwC will be running round like headless chickens speaking to everyone to justify their fees, so we'll probably hear a lot of this kind of story. The only downside is that they have a very inexperienced debt advisory dept. within their corporate finance arm (which LFC are retaining) so I'm not expecting any miracles in terms of borrowing new money.
