  1. Crowd singing for Robbie
  2. Crouch goes down. No pen.
  3. Nice bit of pressure from us here. Not creating any chances though
  4. Alonso touches to Cisse who hits the wall
  5. FK on edge of box. Crouch brought down
  6. Nice gesture from the club that.
  7. We would be daft to blow our whole budget on one player. And none of the examples above are of clubs bloeing all their budget on one player and it being "the final piece of the jigsaw"
  8. No surprise in this. Obvious who was buying the players and running the team.
  9. Doing something about Turkey at last. Long overdue.
  10. Must have been from the players. Surely Lua Lua had been in contact with his family.
  11. Just seen this over on TLW, copied from http://filgoal.filbalad.com/english/News.asp?NewsID=21204 Surely thats a mistake. Surely they meant kept it from the rest of the squad, not the player himself. Hope so anyway. RIP little Lua Lua
  12. It baffles me that people can watch a football match and not see the contribution Crouch makes. Or watch a match where Crouch doesnt play and see how much we miss him. His all round play has been great this season. His goal run has ended but hopefully that will return soon.
  13. I thought you couldnt appeal 2 yellows? Or is it the other way round??
  14. I think we need a new LB. I dont have that much faith in our 3 LBs. I would think Traore is the best defender out of those 3 though.
  15. And add on the £10m to pay off the previous managemnt that year, we splashed a lot of cash.
  16. Eh?? In the last 2 summers we have spent £14 on Cisse, £6m on Garcia, £10 on Alonso, £7m on Crouch, £6m Sissoko etc. Not counting the millions we have stumped up during the prebious two winters (£6m Morientes, £6m Agger etc) How have we not stumped up the cash???
  17. Baros is not the answer. But i would still put him above our current strikers (Moro and Cisse, not Crouch). That is a damning indictment of the present incumbents. Baros isnt what we need. But id rather have him than Cisse and Morientes. You knocked a ball down the wings and Baros would have chased it. Cisse moans its not to his feet. He would have tried to dribble past players not run through them. He had at least a bit of a touch too. Hes gone now and certainly wont be coming back and i wouldnt want him back. Would have preferred we solf Cisse in the summer though, but hindsight and all that....
  18. Fowler, Owen, Anelka, Crouch
  19. He may not be "The Answer" but i agree with slapnuts, he was better than Cisse and Morientes. He put the effort in. Ok he run with his head down, but at least he made the runs, and had a bit of skill to go with it.
  20. Latest rumours from some sites is that Campbell has been "involved" with Jermain Jenas!! Probably total b******s. Has Jenas been playing lately?
  21. crafty move by Spurs that. they play tomorrow!
  22. Curbs has a dig at Murphy now: Skysports: Alan Curbishley has fired a broadside towards new Tottenham signing Danny Murphy after his deadline day move from Charlton Athletic. The Addicks boss cheekily suggested Murphy, who is married to former Hollyoaks star Joanna Taylor, would be more likely to fill his social diary after his switch to White Hart Lane. Curbishley also intimated that Martin Jol would have problems with the midfielder if he left him out of the team. "He wanted to go there," he told Sky Sports News. "I think he's made that quite clear since, so he's got his move. "Obviously, I've read his comments but, as far as I'm concerned, the last three or four weeks, he wasn't in the right frame of mind for us. "He was unsettled, although he said he wasn't. "One look at him at the training ground and you'd realise that. "So he's got his move. I'd imagine his social diary will be that much fuller because he's a Spurs player as opposed to a Charlton one. "Perhaps they get invited to more premieres than our players do. "I'm sure Sven [Goran Eriksson] goes to White Hart Lane more than he goes to The Valley," opined Curbishley. "As long as Martin Jol doesn't leave him out for any reason, it'll be a perfect move."
  23. What age is he now??
  24. Was unlucky with Ferdinands last week. Did get a good touch on it, Just too quick too far in the corner.
