  1. No matter how much good news you got I doubt it'd ever stop you being a sarcy miserable barsteward
  2. Yeah thats a way of looking at it alright, but i think it'd be more of a distraction than a boost for the players
  3. In my "experience of such matters" as you put it, I'd see the logic in deciding not to announce one of the biggest stories in our clubs history on the eve of a huge game. It's only my opinion of course.
  4. Really??? Every game we'll play between now and the end of the season is as big as tomorrows? Would you care to back that up?

  7. Some big games are bigger than other big games
  8. Jesus, have we? I never realised! Are they all as big as tomorrows?
  9. Is it feasible that any announcement re the takeover is being deliberately delayed until after tomorrows game so as not to distract from our preparations?
  10. Fair enough, if that's the case well done the club. Hope everyone's capable of holding their arms above their heads for six minutes, it's not that easy. Think a few'll be resting their cards on their heads!
  11. Thats a f***in joke!
  12. Fig, Whats the story with his wife? Stab in the dark here, ahem, but is she a he?
  13. They'll pick it up, assuming there's some action at the Kop end in the first six minutes, but what will they say about it? And will the commentary team and studio analysists be briefed on what to say/not say, particularly as the BBC's hiring of MacKenzie is a factor in the organised protest. An afterthought: Wonder if Stevie will opt to play into the Kop in the first half if we win the toss?
  14. Who's commentating on the game? Will it be Motson and Lawrenson? Motson's reaction is likely to be one of feigned ignorance i'd imagine. Something along the lines of ... "oh, and there's some sort of banner in the Kop, meanwhile here comes GERRARD!" Lawrenson, if he's involved and Hansen too, have a moral obligation to comment on the mosaic and the protest and put it into context. Or will the BBC excuse them from duty to avoid such a conflict of interests It's going to be interesting.
  15. Anyone famous who has a couple of pints and cops off is involved in a BOOZE FUELLED ROMP!
  16. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
  17. Bit bizzare that this thread is getting so much attention when according to RAWKs version of Elisha DIC will make their offer for the club public tomorrow. That'll be arguably the precursor to the biggest upheaval in our history, yet there's little talk about that, cos everyones discussing Terry Henry. Strange?
  18. And is probably laughing (all the way to the bank) at those that are taking this seriously. Manc t***
  19. Isn't it highly likely that if and when DIC takeover there'll be a high profile signing straight away? It would be excellent PR on their part and get any dubious elements of our support on their side from the off
  20. I am But I'm thinking more of pipping Chelsea for second
  21. We're within eight of Chelsea now.
  22. Anyone see the Rangers fan on Sky going ballistic into the camera over Le Guen. Reminded me of the clown who invaded the FAI headquarters with a can of petrol threatening to set himself on fire.
  23. No I meant any three of those four rotated, assuming if Villa came someone else would leave, and Doyle as the fourth
  24. He'd be a good fourth striker for us if we were rotating three others. Any three from Kuyt, Crouch, Bellamy and Villa plus Doyle would be s***hot. I'll get slaughtered for this but he'd be a better player to have in that role than Fowler. (Ducks for Cover)
  25. Think thats the clearest summary of the situation I've read so far.
