That for me is the problem. You don't generally become a good passer in your twenties if you've never been one in the first place. Same applies for a good first touch. IMO these are key issues for central midfield players at this level and simply Momo doesn't seem to have even the basics right. I'd go as far as to say that you can train pretty much anyone to run as many miles in a game as Momo does and therefore Momo's qualities are really not essential for a footballer at all. It's not as black and white as that obviously, but give me any of Lucas, Mascherano, Gerrard and Alonso any day over Sissoko. And I do mean any day (including Barca away or whatever).
