We need to beat these. It's about time we got the result that our play deserves.

Why is it a ridiculous idea? The attacking side of his game is his strongest suit and I just don't understand the argument that says he wouldn't be able to beat a man from a standing start. To me, his defensive positioning has always been suspect and I think he could provide more attacking flair and invention from RM than Dirk does, whilst still be able to offer good cover for the defender behind him.

I'd like to see Kelly in at RB and Johnson given a go in Kuyt's position. I think that could work well down the right.

Likewise. I totaly agee Hodgson needs time and some frigging effort from his players. Don't know if it's early season ringrust, but we look a yard short all over the pitch.

It's depressing as hell to watch, but is anyone really surprised? A bold team selection which is proving foolhardy. 3 v 2 in the middle and we're being overrun. Lucas should never, ever be anywhere close to wearing a Liverpool shirt, Jovanovic looks every bit a Benitez signing: physical, workmanlike, with very little flair, skill or guile. Gerrard way too deep to be effective. Ngog has flashes of promise but is no way a league winning striker. And so it goes...
