Thanks for all that but it still proves we dont have any cover for Downing whereas we have plenty of cover on the right even if you include Sterling! I dont always think of wide men as wingers either. In modern day terms there isnt that many out & out natuiral wingers anymore they tend to be wide midfielders.

Would have thought we needed a right side considering we have Downing? I know he can play right, but I always think wingers who are left footed should play left wing, apart from Arjen Robben who is a freak. The reason I say we need another left sided player not right is if Downing gets injured we have NO ONE at all to cover him whereas on the right we have Henderson (Ignore the di*ks saying he's shyte on Saturday the kid is gonna be a great player) Gerrard, MAXI, Johnson & at a pinch but Dirk out there but only as a last resort. On the left we have no other left footed player to cover for Downing. We could even play Downing on the right…but not unless we have another left sided mid in the squad?>

We need another Forward, Wide man (Left Side preferably) & a Centre half.

Outstanding? Dont think so. Hardworking maybe but theres more to being a wideman than hard work hence our problems in breaking teams down & lack of pace in the wide areas. Dirk is a forward who Benitez tried to turn into a wide man and the experiment failed! Dirk up top I can live with Dirk wide right is usually not great to say the least.

Kuyt should NEVER be a wide option once Kenny has rebuilt the squad....... An option up front yes but no more out wide please!!

Gerrard isnt above critisism and should never ever be so....we cant continue to rely upon an aging Gerrard, whos best position is and always was wide right, he just doesnt have the disipline to play in the middle. He lost that ability the minute Benitez started playing him behind Torres. Outplayed by Parker & O'Neil just shows how bad things have become for Gerrard in the middle of the park. Lucas held the midfield together yesterday and he's done that all season with little and no praise. Untill the team moves on from playing Gerrard in the middle & playing Kuyt at all we will continue to struggle!

Please tell me thats not true? I cant stand another season watching Kuyt running round a field like a dog off its lead...
