If you get a "proper" dead leg (i.e. unlike the ones we used to give each other in the school playground) they are totally crippling. I got one in 5-a-side once, very similar to alonso's, it was bloody agony and I could barely walk for 2 or 3 weeks.

Just seen Rafa's comments reported on RAWK. Steep sides is definately the way to go in terms generating atmosphere and intimidating the opposition. Like I said previously, atmosphere and sound amplification as core design goals -everything else should follow from there. It doesn't even have to be massive, 60 000 fans in a well-designed "c**k-pit" style ground will be a lot more intimidating than many of these new grounds.
