  1. It was particularly apt that the most prominent ad hoarding visible n TV at the goal we defended in the first half was for 'Barnfield'.
  2. Thought theirs was outside the box too. Was confused why he didn't send carso off if he thought it was a peno.
  3. FFS I couldn't believe the state of the ball he tried to give the Captain. Bad old days stuff.
  4. Got a text from my Luton supporting mate which he must have typed before it was taken cos it got to me so fast "started cheering as soon as I saw him take the ball". Now, I'll forgive anyone missing a peno but the poor touch and inability to keep the ball into himself are far worse traits What was rafa "Mamma Mia"-ing about straight after? The defender not walking?

    Attitude

Rafa looked furious at the end so it wasn't him. But Gerrard not celebrating the goal summed it up. Xabi giving 5 balls away inthe first 15. Momo having his worst performace I have seen to date. Possibly ditto Crouchy. The centre halves getting the run around. (Sami's Indian summer seems less likely to continue for as long as I had thought before this game). Fair play to Luton, they deserved the luck they got but I thought our lads' attitude wasn't right from the start.
  6. screw them too. one of my best mates is a proper Luton fan. wouldn't matter if we retained the European Cup. my life would be made misery.
  7. Delighted. Screw the CM wannabes.
  8. Would be brilliant, wouldn't it. f*** the begrudgers. 10K a week, with time off to go round collecting the rent from all his tenants. Everyone happy (except 'match-going local fans' no doubt, as some Harvard Business School graduate will repeatedly point of)
  9. God man Robbie. (pun intended)
  10. Yes I would be extremely fu king bothered if we lost today. Sad to hear some of the comments here. It's still a fantastic tournament well worth winning. Especially with the League leaders being a long long way up the road and the European Cup phenomenonly difficult to defend. The best teams win practically every game they play. And what's more they go out to win every game they play. Approaching some games with a "sure, what of it?" attitude would be a dangerous mistake which I don't think Rafa or the team will make. I would think our fans are arming themselves with some food old fashioned manc smugness if we thought that.
  11. I see that you are 'celebrating' with a little BLUE man Cobs. You just can't help yourself.
  12. Without a doubt
  13. Not following you there Chief... It's just my opinion of Cissé in this case.
  14. Perhaps, but Kilbane is actually excellent in the air, to be fair.
  15. He has played for Ireland at LB once or twice and far more often at RM. That f cking eejit Kerr would have done well to pick him at Left Back but for whatever reason saw fit to consider him inferior to Steven Carr and John O'Shea. Talk about signing your own death warrant.
  16. I hear ya. If he played like Wed and looked like a proper footballer every week there'd be no debate and the money would have been well spent.
  17. Evening Mr. Bates. Shoeshine?
  18. Do you still think he'll go back to Brazil?
  19. NYR, fair play for laying your cards on the table. All your posts on this matter were appreciated and it's to your credit that you stood by your word to your pal. I'd just like to say that you shouldn't be so glum. We won the European Cup last year. We're going to win the league ths year or next. Honestly, I don't see why there's all this fuss about 'needing' investment. Other than to satisfy a particular type of fan's masturbatory fantasy of us buying players for 30 million quid, we're doing just fine as we are.

    Andy Gray

How many deflections does he call on Frank "Looking good in 2006" Lampard?
  21. I don't hear or believe that we are a force in 'British' football at all. I wonder who, if anyone, is a force in 'British' football?
  22. Out on the town boozing with Raul no doubt. No better way to feck up your ligaments.
  23. Imagine being as s*** as Everton, with their s*** history and their s*** ground, their s*** team and their s*** prospects. Then some 'wag' somes up with a 'funny' slogan, all their webistes are chuckling to themselves about this great 'putdown' they have for the manager of their local (only?) rivals and somehow Everton finish 4th in the League. You think the world is alright. The sun is on your back, things aren't so bad as they used to be. You have something to shout about. For about 5 minutes, then we go win the European Cup. Honestly, it must be really s*** to be an Everton fan. I almost feel sorry for them.
  24. I might agree with Fyds if I knew what the Jaysus he is saying. Subhumed?
  25. Heh heh!!!!!!!!!! (Actually made me yelp with laughter that one)
