  2. LOL! An 'intellectual' Chelsea fan. I have now seen it all. Jesus, 20 successive years of over-achievement - t would take a better man that Freud to work that freak occurrence out.
  3. They were made look 3rd or 4th rate on Wednesday. It helps prove our 'denial' was right all along. They aren't as good as they think they are.
  4. Yeah we can. If the papers put the boot into LFC and the City of Liverpool, can I be the first to say that all Chelsea fans are vicious headhunting viking 'scum'?
  5. More chips that McCains.
  6. Did the boys say that the Ambulance was badly (or even slightly) shaken or rocked? I'm not trying to deflect attention and say one wrong is less wrong that another, but if the Ambulance guys said it wasn't damaged and the police are supposed to have said it wasn't rocked (further up in the thread), can any reliable eye witness actually confirm what happened?
  7. You know, it is said that the reason Roman bought Chelsea was cos he was so taken with a couple of big European nights he saw (at Milan or Madrid or somewhere). So not only does that cast into doubt WhyTF he chose Chelsea with their 'magic European atmosphere', but also how much of this 'failure' while he tolerate from the Special Needs One?
  8. With any luck, the English teams were looking last night and at he Special Needs One's interview. While no English team could hope to achieve the level of bamboozelment Barca did, to see Chelsea with feet of clay should at least help them start treating Chelsea like they are some kind of immovable colossos and getting and them.
  9. "Don't you know who I think I am?"
  10. Here's some more to demonstrate what a classy outfit Chelsea are: Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck claims that the Stamford Bridge club "deserves" a Champions League trophy. The Blues face Barcelona tonight for a place in this season's quarter-finals and Buck admits it's "conceivable" that Chelsea will not advance, but claims that he is "virtually certain" the trophy will be theirs soon. After all, they deserve it. Buck is virtually certain to make himself as popular as colleague Peter Kenyon with other club's fans with these latest comments. "It's a funny word to use," he told Sky Sports News. "But I think we deserve a European championship. Money = Deserving.
  11. After his interview performance last night I hereby christen Jose "The Special Needs One"
  12. That might be the best Barca play all season. And maybe they'll just do it to them again. Complacency is Chelsea's best hope. One thing for sure, the special one got it all wrong last night. Preparing a beach backfired, making it a priority to rough up Messi backfired and totally ceding midfield totally backfired.
  13. Ha ha! I'd love to see a team who you think is good if you thought Barca were mediocre. They were excellent first half. Controlled the game and drew the sting from Chelsea entirely. Don't belevee the Moan, that game would have finished the same way if Chelsea had 12 men.
  14. The what ifs and close-things don't count for much in my eyes. It was the sheer quality of the play and how they ran through them at will which was evidence enough for me to make a judgement on the game.
  15. Bremen 3 Juve 2 Ajax 2 Inter 2 Rangers 2 Villareal 2 They won't all stay that way but maybe one of the underdogs will hold out (and hopefully not Benfica!)
  16. Not John L's best night.
  17. Fantasy stuff. Only happens every so often. That was utter destruction. Chelsea should shut up, keep thir head down and try change the subject whenever this game is mentioned.
  18. Complete non-story. Can have barely a complaint about the red. He went to take Messi out (as did Robbing Robben). Should have been on a yellow anyway. What were the Chelsea halfwits singing (apart from "Stand up for the champions", which was nice of them to show us some respect when we werent even playing?)? "Same old Barca always cheating" or "Same old Spaniards, always cheating"?
  19. Where to start? They tore them a new a rsehole. And the fans - pathetically quiet - Barca in the second half were the best laxative the mockney vvanker scum ever took I'd say. Barca controlled the entire game and when they cut loose Chelsea were laughable. They gave away midfield completely - Fat Frank didn't want to know. Camped on his own peno box. Terry seriously lucky to only give one OG away. it was like watching a basketball match, every Barca playerbringing the ball at will toward the Chelsea box. how many times did a yellow shirt make a fool of one or even two Chelsea players? Turned inside out. Barca compacency after seeing how sh thouse Chelsea are is Chelsea's only hope. But if Barca are in the mood as they were tonight, Chelsea have no chance.
  20. Was a bad enough challenge. Justice done - it should have been his second yellow s the red was due in a roundabout way. "Stand up for the champions"? I didn't realise Liverpool were playing.
  21. Yeah but if and when two or three spanish team beat two or three English teams in the CL next year, or whenever then it'll be all talk about La Liga being the strongest etc etc... I suspect that's the point you're making cobs?
  22. Surely the most offensive thing about that add, is the fact that we are expected to buy into the idea of Cantona posturing as some sort of footballing guerilla speaking out about the true virtues of the game and denouncing the cynical thing it has become, all the while ignoring his own record and trousering a big sweaty wad from Nike.
  23. Did you actually hear the argument I was having...??!!! Uncanny. Spot on!! :D
  24. www.independentfootballreview.com Here's an opportunity to try help influence how football is viewed by staturory authorities in Europe. Worth an hour or two of anybody's time
  25. Thanks chaps, he's been dismissed from a position of comfort. 1983, finishing 18th in Division 2 with an average crowd of 12.672. Snigger!!
