and so the implosion begins.... It was only a matter of time, the translator walks and several other 'big' names kick up a stink about how their life is hard and how uncertain their future is at the club. then they go off and struggle to buy a house in London on £130k a week. I'll be sorry for them when it comes crashing down, truly I will.

I agree about the league cup and fa cup But regarding the quote above I think this would lead to congestion and potentially ticketless fans around the grounds. A nightmare for security essp. for bigger games. What if people en mass decide to show up at the turnstiles to pay 10% of whatever price? imagine 20000 people outside anfield at at 12 noon on Sunday. Wanna police/work/manage/secure that? Engaging in a situation which could lead to many fans jostling for position to get the the turnstiles before the tickets run out or not going to a pre-designated seat is not something I'd like to see any club pursue. Having said that selling a 'limited' number of tickets on any given day, as opposed to on a regular basis is something that can be managed properly given its usually on a smaller scale

no guarantees that any of the youth winners will make it, but if they were to play in the same 'way' as the senior squad regarding positions, formations, tactics at corners, style of play, were to recieve as close to identical training and coaching as humanely possible they would be best placed to step up if/when the chance arose Unless the relationship between Rafa and his Coaches with the academy is so close as to be totally in sync then I think the lack of players breaking thru will be an issue.

we're winning the second half 2 - 1

this is worse than Coventry away

here we go again...!

Gonzales has a large tear in his calf but no break apparently.

how many will this end up with? 6, 7, 8?

3 on target 3 goals. This could end up being very embarrassing after 90 minutes. Has he left his hands in the dressing rooms?

2 shots on target.. 2 goals

Does anyone think that maybe, just maybe, going out of the cup at the first hurlde might assist us for the rest of the season? League Cup QF, CL v Barcelona, league games to make sure we finish top 4.... I reckon its better to get knocked out early than later, reasoning is that your still knocked out and so dont win it, but replays, more games are not necessarily a good thing - tiredness, injuries etc etc. Help me here as I'm looking for positives after being knocked out of a major cup comp. I'm not suggesting this is ideal or what I would have wanted but given a choice of cups I'd take the CL thanks. Perhaps we'll look back in May and say it was a blessing I dont know. But going out to Arsenal is no embarassment and I'd rather it happened now and give us an opportunity to focus elsewhere than it happenned in April in a semi final. I'm sure there are many who'll disagree and are (rightly) upset that we're out. Just trying to look at the bigger picture my self. Thats all!

agree but no way was the challenge on Kuyt a peno

watching the 3rd go in I couldnt believe how slow he was. It was a soft goal. That stood out for me more than anything else today

He is similar in height/build to Klose. I have to say I wouldnt be too peturbed to see this link to Newcastle coming to fruition. For his height he is really poor at heading the ball at goal, fine for flick ons and such but anyone at 6ft7 can manage that. As for attacking the ball, with power from 12 yards or so, his scoring rate is poor. If he could attack the ball and as if he knew what he was doing I think you could add 10 goals to his total this season.

Finnan is Mr. Consistent. Consistently good. That really is all you need to know about him and his performances.
