  3. true we need a poacher like a Fowler or a Rush. Not something any of our forwards currenly give us that. Mind you not many teams seem to play with someone who could be described as a 'goal poaching specialist' these days. The emphasis seems to be on the all-rounder types who score goals but dont necessaerily 'poach' if you know what I mean.

  6. Pennants I would have thought...
  7. Motson: Suprisingly England are still drawing 0-0 here against Spain, despite having, oh, 5 million people on the pitch...time for substitution I think Mark. Lawro: Yeah I think he's bringing on Murph. Motson: Who? Lawro: Sorry John, bit before your time mate...
  8. Socrates had a trial with Sligo Rovers. By some accounts he was rejected due to the fact he wasnt white. May be an urban myth but one that sems to have survived for quite some time. Either that or the poteen he made was schyte.
  9. points wise for us no, but if theyre giving a 14 day amnesty you can be certain that he wont be approved to play for us until after that date. The club wouldnt anyway as it would risk a pts deduction also. If they do deduct points I'd imagine Pompey, WHU and any others would sue the a*** of the PL for authorising the transfers/loans in the first place. Maybe this is why the amnesty is in place i.e. - "repent now and no action will be taken". The PL can then wash it away with a claim that 'all is above board' with the transfers for the 1st half of the season. What they will do for those transfers falling into this category in January is another matter altogether.
  10. think we saw the best of him tbh. Cant see him recapturing the form he had 5 years ago... anyway, onwards onwards onwards...
  11. meanwhile in a room somewhere, Mourinho and Ferguson are hugging Andy Grays leg, all after soiling themselves while a tune plays in the background... ...Whats that coming over the hill? is it a monster? IS IT A MONSTER?....

  17. someone on another forum with one post more that that RAWK guy says he aint coming. Slapnuts - are you in a quandry now?
  18. I have to say that the transfer window has delivered what I've expected. Some cover in a RB and plenty 18 month loan deals for youths. Mascherano will be a great loan deal too. It a good situation for us as if it doesnt work out we wouldnt be looking to recoup a huge fee whereas if it does then we know that the fee we are then paying guarantees a player who has proven he can deliver for us.
  19. Come back? Just tell them to f*** off. Who in their right minds wants them c**** to come back? Not that they ever will based on your criteria mind, but still!
  20. alternatively we could be waiting to finalise it at 00:01 - just past the deadline and forcing the league to ratify it and piss off the bluenoses some more. That would be rather nice!
  21. seeing as its been over 13 hours since FIFA gace clearance there most be some sticking point with the Premier League about the ownership of the player sommat must be up...
  22. its all a ruse, we're using Mascherano as a smokescreen to deflect attention from our real transfer target...Lord Lucan

  24. if ever a blue, always a bitter never more true than in Andy Grays case Compare Gray v Hansen if you want proof of how a pundit at the top of his profession should act. Is Hansen blatently anti-blue??? No. Gray on the other hand just hams it up every time. The mancs must love him.
