I think it takes a fair bit to form a team and system even with loads of money. I do think there are probably better managers but not many. I don't think a league title is that even if you want to say it's a standard total for a league title. A league title is almost always an exceptional result. they were competing against teams that had built up a hell of a lot of momentum over the years

Everyone plays everyone twice and we're at a stage of the season where you can't really say the way the fixtures are set up are set up are annoying. We're too far in.

He has been poor in Europe. I think there is some excuse with City in that teams from the country over the past couple of decades have normally built up a base of European experience. His European record at Inter however would add to the concern. In terms of the context in Italy. Other teams were out and out cheating so I don't really feel the need to compensate for what they may have done otherwise. Much in the same way I'd be irked if we were in Inter's position over here. Anyway my basic point is that he's not an average manager. he's a really good manager. you might think Ferguson, Mourinho or Guardiola are better but that doesn't make him average.

I'm mostly worried about moving him further away from the goal. I'm a worried that he'll be loaded with more defensive responsibilities if starting position is nominally wide. I'm partially worried that starting him wide and letting him drift affects our shape negatively on the ball. He can drift and false 9 currently whereas another striker playing up there might be easier to mark and we'll lose width with him wide. I'd have Sturridge wide but Brendan seems pretty set judging by that podcast on moving Suarez. Still though, It's Rodgers who's got the best of Suarez so far when many of us were actually up for him playing wide at the start of the season. Maybe it's best to just let him get on with it

Well yeah he's not as good a finisher as Messi or just as a good a player generally but he's evidently improved his finishing

He's not though is he. He's won titles in two countries and the FA cup over here. And we get sniffy when people question Rafa's record. yeah. it's natural for a fan to do to a degree. I think we don't factor in how good the other teams are when we plot to take 4th fro where we are. they'll probably win games too.

He's really stepping it up with his finishing. Was an obvious flaw in his game initially. If we surround him with some quality it will mean he can relax more, create more for the players around him who he'll be happy to pass to and he'll have more space.

Some of the stuff that this kid Suarez has done is just off the scale. The goal up at Sunderland in his first season. The run v Manu to set up Kuyt. The goal from 40yds v Norwich and Newcastle. The genius is as much in the conception as the execution
