  14. Would I dare trivialise your feelings, HR?
  15. The thread is about the manager and the team's role in the defeat. FFS noone's asking you to be happy about it!
  16. Why? Emotionally maybe, but it's quite conceivable that we lose out on the league by 2 points to Chelsea. That could be the difference between beating or not losing to them this weekend. I don't think Everton are our title rivals, if that's the bracket we perceive ourselves. Take the emotion out of it and it's much more important we perform against the champions. better to do both but hey. It's all conjecture, none of us know why we didn't perform, nor would Rafa for that matter. Did he play a half-fit Carra because of the unqiqueness of the derby?
  17. I'd be fairly puzzled if he doesn't pick his strongest sides both during the week and on the weekend. At least if we do bounce back from this it'll be like our Burnley of 2 years ago or Fulham away of last year. It's just that we'll get it done earlier this year.
  18. I can understand the derby thing but I don't listen to Evertonians all year, that's the point I was making. I can fully understand why you Liverpool lads are completely hacked off, whereas I'm just lamenting a pisspoor performance and the dropping of 3 points.
  19. Note the time and date Anders, I agree with you. He's a smashing player, full of endeavour and can obviously finish. Went short and linked play well and wasn't afraid to run in behind our defensive line.

  21. Agree with a lot of that. Agger did well and it was a gamble on fitness and sharpness with Carra. I thought 'why bother'? Carra is and always will be an influential defender but he looked so off the pace on Saturday. Sami, God love him, looked ready for stud. Johnson worried them all day.
  22. My derby opinions were and always are footballing opinions. I'm not arsed whether you validate them or not mate. It's just that I don't have a thousand blues in my face immediately afterwards. The fact it was agianst our/your local rivals and lost is sore, but no sorer than being beaten by Chelsea or United.

  24. Think it's time to get Gerrard back in the middle and dropping Momo or Xabi, on recent form it's got to be the latter. No point in buying all this pace and not using any of it. Pennant and Gonzales would have at least given them something to defend, they'd have dropped 20 yards toward their own goal. They went as high as they liked as Crouch and Fowler were never going to run in behind them. We played our football in front of their defensive unit.
