  1. Decent header from placcy but goalie should've done a bit better. Real get the sucker puncher after defending for most of the 2nd half.
  2. Good save from the Barca keeper. Where's Valdes?
  3. Real's performance is a total disgrace. Almost forgotten what rotten tactics Maureen tends to use. Awful, awful football, a despicable display from a team like Real.
  4. Bottled it again. Arsenal are pathetic.
  5. He really isn't.
  6. Looks like Arsenal are going to bottle it. Again.
  7. Walcott having a good game, shows how well young Robinson did against him the other day. And get up Bale, tosser.
  8. Fabregas essentially believes Wenger should be sacked. Good lad.
  9. Spawny manc b******s are bound to score any minute now... edit: maybe not
  10. I rate Defoe as a goal poacher, he's one of the best around. But we don't really need him and where would he fit in with our current attack? He's be a great option to bring on from the bench but he'd be an expensive sub, and I doubt he'd move to an club where he's just sat on the bench.
  11. Torres is s***. The rent boys must be tearing their hair watching this hapless shell of a player struggling for them when they have Drogba on the bench, who looks 5 times as dangerous when he comes on. Torres, or the decision to play him, cost Chelsea their CL tie against ManU. I'm convinced Chelsea would have won had Torres been dropped and Drogba started both games in his usual central striking role. I gotta say, it makes me laugh like a loon when I hear/read Chelsea supporters talking about how great Torres' movement is. That's the least you'd expect from a striker that cost 50 f***ing million quid. Where are the goals?
  12. Wenger is losing the plot. He's okay some of the time but like yesterday he can be totally ungracious. He should have no complaints whatsoever. His team didn't come close to scoring and only got their first home goal in ages due to a lucky penalty. Suarez should have scored at least twice for us but for sloppy finishing whereas I can't remember any decent chance for Arsenal except the header that hit the bar. If mighty, title-challenging Arsenal can't beat an injury depleted Liverpool who were forced to play several kids, and AFTER earning a penalty in the 98th minute... I don't know how Wenger can have any complaints. He should blame his bunch of bottlers, not the ref or our players for getting fouled in the box.
  13. I would LOVE Xabi to return. But he's hardly likely to leave Real Madrid to come back to us, but I'm sure if he was pushed out and intended to return to England, we'd be the first team of choice. As for Torres - I can honestly say I do not want him back, even if we could get him for cut-price. He's not the person we thought he was, he betrayed us badly after all we did for him but aside from that, as a footballer we have seen the best of him. He'll still score goals (eventually) but he'll never be the force he once was. We will be more potent than we ever were with Torres once AC and LS get going as a partnership.
  14. Compared to the way we passed and pressed City the other night this was a poor performance in comparasion but we should how resilient we can be and defended really well despite numerous injured defenders. Hats off to the youngsters who stepped in against the most potent attacking team in the league. We could have even won the game had Luis been a bit more clinical but a very good point for us, all things considered.

    Spearing

Spearing has come on leaps and bounds since Kenny has come in and I think he has a future at the club when I was beginning to fear time had run out for him. A real battler, I think we can mould him into a Mascherano-type player.
  16. It was a nice touch by Arsenal to have a tribute to Hillsborough up on their screen, but I don't know what they were thinking by having that mascot join the players in the centre circle. Seemed really odd and I actually found it a bit funny when it was supposed to be a sombre moment. Cockney weirdos.
  17. Can we take Charlie Adam off the list? He's proven to being yet another flavour of the month, I can't believe we were willing to pay £8M for someone who was so obviously a flash in the pan. If we go back for him in the summer I will despair.
  18. Pepe is more likely to go to the mancs. They would be willing to bid £20M+ whereas Arsenal wouldn't. And unlike Wenger, Ferguson realises the immense value of a goal keeper with leadership skills and a strong personality that commands respect from his colleagues. Wenger has never been fussed when it came to goal keepers whereas we all know Ferguson's troubles replacing Schmichael and he wouldn't want a repeat of that now that Van Der Sar is retiring. Pepe would be the perfect replacement. The question is would Pepe go to the mancs? I say he would. He's not a Liverpool fan, he doesn't hate the mancs like we do and probably doesn't see it as a big deal for him to join the mancs, especially as we are no longer in direct competition with them. Would we sell to them? Not if we can help it but we all know that once a player has made up his mind it's impossible to keep him/prevent him from leaving to whatever team he desires.

    4th place

Finishing in the top 6 would be a good result considering we were in danger of being in a relegation fight earlier in the season. The Wigan result and performance was depressing but things will only improve although not enough to finish in 4th. We'd have to win all our remaining games to ensure that happens and that's a big ask of anyone.
  20. It's a shame, almost a tragedy that his best years were robbed from him by all those injuries. He should never have left Barca, could've been the greatest ever if he stayed at the Nou Camp. Thanks for the memories all the same.

  24. He struggled badly last night versus Argentina. Seems to be in a more defensive role for Portugal and Messi was running rings around poor Raul, who kept fouling him constantly. Hopefully he leaves that sort of form with his national team.
