I would think if they are getting expulsed, and I think they are, it would have to be effective immediately. The breaches city have committed are well in excess of what the rulemakers would ever have imagined when they set down maximum penalties. One of them has actually done it in a Liverpool shirt. With Ekitikes injury they are all about as theoretical as Wirtz though.

Given where we are right now, I'll take it for this season. Think he'll end up second fiddle to Ekitike* over time if that is all we get though. And if that's where we're headed, we should sell while his value remains high. *Assuming he survives his lethal ordeal.

I just want his allround play to be as good as Fowler or Sturridges. I am allergic to strikers who think their only job is to evade the ball until it gets to them for a shot at goal.

Cool. So he should beat that for us then. Even if minutes per goal is probably a more fair metric to measure sturridge on. I also think showing sturridge levels of allround play isn't too much to ask either.

Yes and no. He works hard. He shows for the ball. Refuses to demonstrate any swagger with it though. But I suppose when you lose the ball as easily as he does, playing with even more risk is hard to justify.

I don't expect him to be Torres or Fowler good (even though I think stylewise, he is closest to Fowler), but I do expect him to be Sturridge good.

I am patient with him for games like Newcastle. Where he put in the effort, got on the ball, did alright with it but ultimately didn't have a strong impact. That's the kind of game where I can think maybe this is also relative to us working out a new manager's system, and that kind of performance could be elevated by the team elevating as well. Give me that over Gravenberch shenanigans. Yesterday was just nonsense from him. Giving the ball away like that has nothing to do with systems and everything to do with wilting. Might even prefer current Gravenberch to that.
