  1. what is the hyypia/blackburn rumour?
  2. Etherington was injured in the warm up before the West Brom game tonight. Dean Ashton went off in the first half with a hamstring injury.
  3. Milner is a good little player. He's been one of the few positive points of Villa's season. He's far from s**** and who gives a f*** if he's ugly. I'm not saying we should sign him or need him but he's a decent player, good crosser and dead ball deliverer.

  14. it's official he's on his way! http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=...sub=latest+news Terry has sights on Chopper's total Thursday, Apr 27, 2006 John Terry has declared his ambition to become Chelsea?s highest appearance maker of all-time. The Chelsea captain currently stands on 271 games played, still a long way off Ron Harris? record of 795 appearances. Another who has skippered the club, ?Chopper? Harris played for 19 years but with Terry set to hit the 50 games in a season mark for the third year running this weekend, the 25 year-old believes the target is within reach. ?I would love to get there,? he told Chelsea TV. ?Everyone knows I want to stay at Chelsea for the rest of my career and fingers-crossed, if I stay fit and away from injuries I?ll be on target.? While it is more often team-mate Frank Lampard who gains plaudits for his durability, Terry, who has been quoted as wishing to emulate Milan?s Paolo Maldini as a legendary one-club man, has played more Chelsea games than anyone this season. ?I am delighted to have stayed fit for three seasons and to have played that many games,? he says. ?I missed out on the last two games of last season because of a foot operation but hopefully I can continue all the way this season. ?I had little niggles when I was younger. Nothing too serious, two or three weeks and then I was back in training. I?m glad now I can go out there every day and keep away from those niggles now I?ve done my growing. ?I?ve learnt good eating and things like that from people like Franco [Zola] and it all put together is helping.?

  21. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liv...-name_page.html FA Cup final tickets anger Apr 26 2006 By Deborah James Daily Post Staff THOUSANDS of Liverpool fans will miss out on a trip to the FA Cup Final after the Football Association booked up almost a third of the seats. Anfield officials were yesterday told both Liverpool and rivals West Ham had been initially allocated just 24,400 tickets each at the 74,000 capacity Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. It will leave Liverpool fans with 5,000 fewer seats than they filled at the semi final at Old Trafford, and 1,400 tickets fewer than at the club's last FA Cup Final in 2001. Yesterday, the FA defended its decision to block-book around 23,000 tickets, many which will be allocated for the association's own corporate hospitality suites, for the final on May 13. Others will go to clubs and county FAs across the country. Supporters hit out last night after tickets for Liverpool seats, officially meant to sell for between £25 to £90, appeared on the internet for £950. The Cardiff Millennium Stadium holds 74,000 at capacity, but that is being cut to 72,000 for the final, to allow security barriers to separate opposing supporters. The new Wembley stadium - which was due to host the final before falling behind schedule - will eventually hold 90,000 people, easily allowing 28,000 tickets for each club on top of the FA's 24,000. LFC spokesman Ian Cotton said the FA's "odd" maths meant at least 3,600 of Liverpool's 27,000 season ticket holders will have no chance of going to the game. Meanwhile, West Ham fans will have access to 6,400 more seats than the 18,000 they had at their semi final. Les Lawson, secretary of the Merseyside branch of the official Liverpool supporters' club said he feared many of the FA-allocated tickets would be re-sold on the black market. He said: "There's going to be a massive panic now among fans, because there simply won't be enough tickets. "Its going to cause a higher price on the black market and the majority of the money will go to people who are out to make a quick buck, not the real fans." Mr Lawson said he believed Liverpool would need at least 27,500 tickets to satisfy fans' expectations. He criticised the decision to increase West Ham's allocation by 6,400, while cutting Liverpool's by 5,000, something which it is understood has left the Anfield hierarchy deeply fr ustrated. He said: "It would make sense if they allocated it on the same lines as the number of tickets each club had for the semis. "Even if they had given West Ham 2,000 more than at the semi final, they could have given us 2,000 more, and West Ham couldn't complain as they would still have more than at their semi. "I can't understand why they haven't taken that into account." He added: "Once again this is typical of the FA, it's about time they started looking after the fans who go through the turnstiles and support the clubs week in week out. "Many of this extra 30% who'll get the FA allocation only want to go to the big games, and a lot of the tickets will end up on the black market." But a spokesman for the FA said fans would receive more tickets than at other major games, like the UEFA Cup Final, where each club receives 8% of the ticket allocation. He said: "The clubs have been told about our initial allocations, but that may change before the event.

  23. We have stayed at the Walkabout in Newport a couple of times. cheap as chips and another town with decent drinking possibilities! The Walkabout was already booked up when we rang through on sunday morning.
  24. Swansea is pretty good as a base camp for Cardiff. Good rail links to Cardiff and easier to get accommodation.
