Chelsea need both us and City to lose games. Us, multiple games. Chelsea *go* to Atleti tonight. They play us knowing the league is dead, pretty much. They don't show up with nothing but they don't play anyone who needs a rest before their main game 3 days later. We beat Chelsea, Mourinho has his excuse ready that he had to make changes. Mourinho is already trying to put all the pressure on us. Mourinho is already trying to bring up s*** like the ghost goal in the hope that the atmosphere can be negated by getting the referee onside. Mourinho is playing his role too much. We'll win and then City lose to Everton and the league is ostensibly ours.

Chelsea need to win 7 (including CL). City need to win 6. We need to win 4. All three have games against top four teams (us being the only one to have ours at home). All three have games against teams fighting relegation. I'm happy to have a s*** Norwich side, Chelsea at home and then, probably, two dead rubbers. There's a long way to go. Every game for every team feels massive. Just f***ing win.

He's dropped in and out of form over the season but he was f***ing exceptional against City. I still don't think he's first choice or going to be top, top level but he's a great player in the squad.

I don't see how we conspire to drop anymore than 2 points, to be honest. I honestly think that we'll beat Norwich, Palace and Newcastle at a canter. Even if we don't play well. City won't win 6 on the bounce. Just don't lose against Chelsea. If it was at Stamford Bridge I don't think we'd do it but this Chelsea team won't have experienced Anfield like it will be. They won't have played as many teams as good as us. We've beaten better Chelsea teams at Anfield. EDIT: I think Chelsea want the CL more. Mourinho knows what is going on here, I don't think he thinks he can beat it without giving everything to it. He knows he can beat Atleti over 2 legs and he knows the final can be anything on its day but I don't think he thinks he can win 7 big games on the bounce.

But they have the Champions League and City's experience isn't *that* great. We want it more and we are better. EDIT: For all the talk of Chelsea having an easy run in. There aren't any easy games there. They're playing teams scrapping for survival. Plus City *have* to win 6 on the bounce. That takes a lot, as we've just seen.

I can't wait for Gibbo to show up and tell his Flanno/Soldado story. I heard it about 5 times the other night and it didn't get old.
