These f***ing s***bagging b******s - use Rooney to sell their 'apology' for Hillsborough, make up stories about him hitting his missus & no doubt have been going to town on him over the past week about his gambling and have the feckin tememrity to say

 

"With only 58 days to the start of The World Cup, The S*n and The News of The World are pleased to have reached a settlement with Wayne Rooney.

 

"We can now put this case behind us and focus on a great tournament.

 

"We wish him and the England team every success in Germany and look forward to welcoming them back with the World Cup trophy."
