Alonso Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 All the games in which Garcia has scored in for us: 04/05 v West Brom 3-0 Gerrard Finnan Garciav Norwich City 3-0 Garcia Baros Cissev Charlton 2-0 Riise Garciav West Brom 5-0 Riise (2) Pongolle Gerrard Garciav Norwich 2-1 Garcia Riisev Leverkusen 3-1 Garcia Riise Hamannv Leverkusen 3-1 Garcia (2) Barosv Everton 2-1 Garcia Gerrardv Juve 2-1 Hyypia Garciav Spurs 2-2 Garcia Hyypiav Pompey 2-1 Morientes Garciav Chelsea 1-0 Garcia 05/06 v Moscow 3-1 Cisse (2) Garciav Betis 2-1 Pongolle Garciav Brum 2-2 Garcia Cisse (p)v Anderlecht 3-0 Nando Garcia Cissev Sunderland 2-0 Garcia Gerrardv Wigan 3-0 Crouch (2) Garciav Bolton 2-2 Gerrard (p) Garciav Arsenal 1-0 Garcia Anyone notice a pattern? When Garcia scores we invariably win and have never lost. Out of the 20 games he has scored in we have won 17 and drawn 3!
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 interesting stuff poor use of the word 'invariably' though
quibs Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 John Arne Riise mentioned this yesterday saying that Little Luis os our lucky charm, when he score we dont lose. So come on Luis give us one on saturday..!!

Leo No.8 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Didn't Rushie play for years before he scored and we lost for the first time? I remember it was against Arsenal in the Littlewoods Cup Final (think that was the sponsor at the time) when that c*** Charlie Nicholas scored twice that it was broken.
Eiler99 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 So he's invaluable because he can't f***ing score when we're two goals down?
anny road Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Didn't Rushie play for years before he scored and we lost for the first time? Guest westang Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 i remember reading from paco llorent's book that garcia was used to play as a central striker until he joined tenefire under rafa. the way that little luis anticipates in front of the goal is pure class.

fred Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 (edited) Just had a quick look and this year we lost exactly two games we scored in (Chelsea home and Crystal Palace), so the stat is not that surprising really... edit: in case anyone is interested: last year it was three (United Away, Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final and Arsenal away).
