there are some interesting stats arising this season, and was wondering if there are any stattos out there who can give the details.

how many red cards against us?

How many chelsea goals have been deflected?

(A difficult one) how many times have sunderland been unlucky?

looking at games, I think scum have a low chance to goal conversion rate, anyone know whos is the worst (and best).

Spurs look like they have improved the most (other than us) on last season. any performance indicators?

infinity.

it's not luck by the way. when mourinho arrived he implemented a training policy to get players to shoot earlier than they were doing. result of this is more deflected / less charged-down shots 'cos defenders have less time to get into position.

I'd still like to see some kind of comparison between the amount of deflected shots that have gone wide and the amount of deflected shots that have gone in.

They are still being extremely lucky.

If they were winning games by cricket scores I would buy the early shooting = more deflected goals theory a lot more readily. But as it stands they are winning a lot of games by deflected goals. It's not as if 1 of their 3 or 4 goals are routinely deflected.

There's a disparity between their goal count and the quality of their goals which the 'early shooting' theory doesn't explain and that I don't have the statistical analysis to breakdown.

Spurs last year: 38 games, 52 points i.e. 1,37 points/game

Us last year: 38 games, 58 points i.e. 1,53 points/game

Spurs this season: 22 games, 40 points i.e. 1,82 points/game

Us this season: 20 games, 44 points i.e. 2,2 points/game

Their improvement: 0,45 points/game

Our improvement: 0,67 points/game

There :bleh:
