Carra’s 500 2008 - Jamie Carragher was applauded onto the pitch by a guard of honour before making his 500th appearance for the club, skippering the side to a 5-0 thumping of Luton Town in our FA Cup Third Round replay at Anfield. Steven Gerrard scored a hat-trick, including a swerving 30-yard strike to complete his treble, after Ryan Babel had opened the scoring on the stroke of half time.
