I just got back from the UK - with 4 boxes of M&S mince pies and a Xmas pudding smuggled inside my suitcase. They survived the trip amazingly well.

most of the decent grocery stores sell mincemeat. you buy the ready made pastry and off you go.

 

we made a load of them at the weekend, my mum brought overa tub of Mincemeat. They are yummy, and the kids do not like them. more for us.

 

you should see the look on most American's faces when they take a bite of a mince pie. almost as good as the "mushy peas" look.
