even money... Liverpool

...and the betting reflects the money paid by the punters, not a pure estimation of the result by the bookie. We could draw ZFC Utd from the 10th division in the FA Cup... if a few hundred thousand of their supporters put big money on them to win, you might well get odds like 2:1 on for them! and a mere 3:1 for us...

No they aren't..

Top sides in UEFA Cup possibly, although you can't compare that, but definetly not as good as the top sides in Europe.. Their best player is leaving to Real Madrid, and their next best player is Amoroso which left Dortmund because he was getting old and wasn't good enough, don't think that's a sign of a top team in Europe.

Do agree though, they are a strong team, and we should definetly not underestimate them, but let's not get crazy here.

Thank God I didn't put any money on it. I was sorely tempted.

As you may have gathered I had had a few drinks last night and was sitting here watching the clips from Istanbul and listening to some music.

I had Betfair site open and was looking at having a very, very big bet on Liverpool to win based on what I'd been told from a good friend who is from Brazil. He said they were a good team but that we'd batter them ( he was right).

Even though I was "emotional" praise the Lord I stuck to my guns and rule number 1 .

Never, ever, ever, bet on Liverpool Football Club
