La Vina

Love it, one of my favourites, great food, very fresh, and the staff are funny.

Seem to be more spanish places opening these days, Don Pepes on Victoria street was good but never seems to be open, which is how I ended up in La Vina in the first place.

They have chilean/peruvian singers in there sometimes too, weekends maybe.

went to La Vina a couple of weekes ago, thought it was ok but not great. Some of the food was a little bland. It's not a patch on Don Pepe's. I heard that Don Pepe's is shut at the moment because the owner died. It is due to open again soon as theya re taking xmas bookings.

Went to Piccolinos with work the other night. Thought it was really good and I can recommend it.

Yeah mike let me know if yr in town over xmas, i'm around from 18th, actually you'll be around on the 20th right? ;) Yes, you gotta look carefully for that hidden staircase in korova next time, you might end up in a staff room or indeed a freezer at some point, but worth sustained effort.
