Painting Concrete Paving Slabs

I have an area at the front of the house with around 40 2 x2Ft paving slabs. They are as old as me but probably in better condition. I don’t want to go to the expense of replacing them at the moment and wondered if any forumites have any experience doing this. There are loads of concrete paints on the market - what works well?
