Big friends and family sit down meal somewhere central... I've been tasked with sorting out any venues / availability at relatively short notice Sat March 18th early evening.. any suggestions.. will require something not specialised to cater for what I imagine are going to be varied tastes.... what joy....

if there are loads of you, that's limiting

most of the bigger places that can accept those kind of bookings are Chinese, like the Tai Pan, which is huge

the Refinery, on Hope St, is a big place, not specialised (and not brilliant either, but not terrible and it's a reasonable nice place to be in)

  • 3 weeks later...

Went to a place called Tattu in spinningfields the other day - was very good. The dim sum, fillet steak in soy and caramel sauce and chilli egg fried rice were great - and it's a cool gaff with pink flowers on the ceiling.

It wasn't the cheapest though! Nice for a treat.
