Ultra 4k UHD 3D etc.

Moving house in the next few weeks and want to treat myself to a new TV because well, just because.

 

I obviously want to future proof as best possible and the 4k Ultra HD jobbies on display in Currys and the like are just amazing. However there is no way I'm paying £3k for a TV, might stretch to 1 but never 3.

 

Anyone got one yet and are the displays in the showrooms misleading since there is no 4k stuff available at the moment? (although Netflix might be going down that route if not already)

 

Gerry was always the Panasonic man on here but I'm open to suggestions.
