Good Spotify Playlists

It may be destroying the music industry but it's dead good, Spotify.

Here are some things I listen to a lot.

A good film score one by Andy Kelly: Film

A good funk/soul/latin one by me: Soul

A Sound city 2014 one, also by me, comprised mostly of the bands I saw but some I didn't: Sound City Edit

All the music from Breaking Bad, by some fella:⚠Breaking Bad

All the music from Sopranos, also by some fella: The Sopranos Anthology

I just took the plunge and upgraded to Spotify premium. I've linked it to my Sonos and it does sound great, the 320kbps is a real bonus - more noticeable on headphones obviously.

I'm liking the expanded albums that you can find on there. Going back through my CDs and seeing that on Spotify they have deluxe versions with a load of B sides, live versions etc.

Sound quality on spotify could be better.

Well actually, maybe it can't be. I don't know. Be nice if it was though.

You can change it in your settings - 320 kbps is pretty good.

Where are the playlists anyway? I feel let down.

You started this pretty clearly as well like and not a f***ing one but yours

my missus just downloads everything over wifi at home and uses offline most of the time which is a great idea for anyone on better broadband than we actually have

I have it on 'extreme quality' on my phone and it never sounds as good as a CD. And I have decent headphones.

Maybe just my phone.

The thing with spotify is that there's so much choice that I can often not know where to begin, so it's useful to follow someone else's list. Or I might find a new track I like and click radio based on that and see where it takes me. Nothing revolutionary but that's how I do it.

I'm not very good at remembering the titles of things or the names of bands so it's helpful to just see what comes along on a tangent from what you like.

Sometimes I get the enthusiasm to make a playlist but haven't done one for a while.

That 'shhhh' one you did is cool, Stanley. And I got onto Steve Kelly's film soundtrack from browsing your spotify.

Just to add to the list of spotify playlists, this is one of some of the best debut singles that I'm listening to My link

It's from flavorwire.com

Matt Helders - Artist Playlist is a good one if you like the latest Arctic Monkeys album

If you like your music heavy, then there's one called Aaron is a bit Heavy, which is fun.

I tend to save all the albums I like as playlists, should I just be adding them to My Music?

Well, i transferred my album playlists to my music to neaten things up but Sonos only sees playlists, it seems, so i might have to put them back.

Just getting into Spotify (cheers Stanley) and am thinking of upgrading but have a very important question:

What happens to your downloaded content if you cancel your membership? Is it still playable?

Ta.
