Replacing a smashed iPhone 5 screen

the missus dropped her iphone 5 at the weekend and the screen smashed. No insurance on it and now it needs sorting.

I have asked a couple of places and the going rate is about £180.... anyone know a cheaper way? Anyone done it themselves?
