TOYS R US

Nebraska Red · March 15, 2010

This is more of a rant on behalf of my 12yo son.

So, Nintendo rleased their latest 2 Pokemon games for the DS/DSI yesterday.

Toysrus had a promotion where you got a free t shirt, an accessory pack and a $5 gift card if you bought one of the games for $39.99. "Limited supplies, no rainchecks, get here early "

So, despite losing an hour of sleep, I am outside TRU at 9.55am with my 2 kids and 1 of their mates. Mine is the only vehicle in the customer car park.

We get in, the kids leg it to the video games and are first in line as the clerk is getting all his stuff ready.

We buy 3 games, we get the gift cards, the accessory packs and then we get to the Tshirt. Only available in Child medium or large. My 12yo is 5'8' and wears an adult small or medium. To say he was pissed off is an understatement. After much discussion with numerous employees we get nowhere and my 9 yo is the proud owner of 2 tshirts.

The line has been building as we had our chat and is full of laot of rather large kids who are also very displeased about the lack of big tshirts

My email to ToyRUs is not very complimentary..
