Micorsoft on a Mac

My PC Laptop died last week, so work got me a mac. I spend most of my time in Excel, so I have Excel 2003 in Office on Parallels and Excel for mac. The f***ing machine works at the speed of a lame snail. Are these applications particularly demanding?

 

Switching between programmes takes an eternity, I see more of that f***ing multi-coloured spinning wheel than anything else in a day & it's crashed at least one application each day I've had it so far

 

It's about to go out the window
