My neighbour, who for five years I have never had any trouble with, infact I hardly ever heard from or saw, have suddenly become the bain of my life. It started last year when his wife left him, after he discovered she was having an affair. This began a prolonged period of Phil Collins marathons deep into the night, another day in paradise on repeat at 3am was particular favourite, this reached it's appex last summer when gone midnight he was sat in his garden sobbing loudly to Easy Lover, follwed the next night by him sat in his car reving his engine angrily to In the Air Tonight. Somehow I managed to tolerate this, as I understood he was in a fragile state of mind. It then stopped and things went back to normal for a few months. He then suddenly moved in a woman and her two young children out of nowhere, infact he met her online and she moved from the other side of the country to live with him. They should really have checked whether they got on first because after a couple of weeks they started to argue, loudly, very loudly, well she started to shout very loudly and abusively. This has continued to increase in frequency, with the language, volume and violent smashing also increasing over the last couple of weeks. Then last week she threw out one of her own children into the street, who must be around 12 - 13 years old and threatend the other child that they would get "Seen to" if they let their sibling back in. This was resolved eventually without me having to intervene, then last night around midnight it all started again, with her screaming abuse and threats at him and the children, which led to screaming children and the threat to one of the children "that if you come near me again you'll get another one of those". At this point I had, had enough of the noise at least and concerned for the children called the police. Fortunatley (if that's the word) it happend again whilst I was on the phone with police being able to hear everything going on next door, with her screaming at the kids that she was "going to f***ing kill them" followed by screaming. The police came out quickly, checked with me where the problem was, after suspecting it was the man who was now outside. There was then a lot of shouting at the police before it all went quiet again as she was carted off. Should I seek an ASBO against them, knowing that I will have to declare it if I come to sell my house, or give it a couple of weeks and hope she disapears?
