Using a TV as a computer monitor

We're about to buy another computer (Windows 7, of course) and since TVs nowadays can double as monitors, I was thinking why spend money on a monitor - just buy a (say) 22 inch TV instead, e.g.

 

Samsung LE22B450

 

but is there any downside to this? Is a TV really of the picture quality needed to use a PC for several hours at a time?

 

Has anyone actually tried this?
