Our 'over reliance' on Torres

The media seem to be a bit obsessed on our perceived over-reliance on Torres and if we lose him for a spell we are stuffed for goals, it got me thinking about the goal scoring table albeit 6 games in, and once again what a pile of old codswallop they are talking!

 

We only have 4 players in the top 20 (5 if Johnson had a different name!). The mighty Man U has a whopping 1! Chelsea have 3

So there you go folks, none of our team can score apart for Torres and all the other big teams have a better scoring ability than us!

There's some things apart from the lazy roll out of opinion, generally people dont rate our other attacking players, we dont have a big attacking name on the bench, Torres is injured a lot.

 

Quite a few of us believe we would have won it with a reasonably fit Torres last year so it is hard to justify the irritation at this received opinion

Any team in the world will have an over-reliance on Fernando Torres. His propensity to score goals from nothing will stand him out, there aren't many like him.
