what do you think the Chinese are good at? noodles? laundry? growing weed in rented accommodation?

 

in Liverpool, yes - but there's another market they seem set to corner:

 

music - every year, my son competes in the Liverpool youth festival for Piano, Violin and drama...has won a few prizes too, but each year, more and more Chinese kids enter for music

 

this year, there seem to be 50% of the contestants are Chinese, which is remarkable, considering the proportions. I don't actually agree with the format of the competitions as it must put many kids off entering

 

as for the Chinese - good on 'em...didn't see this development coming, although I should have if I'd thought about it
