On Friday I was on a small (17 seat) plane flying in to Aberdeen airport. We were on a very turbulent final descent and had been told to strap in. The plane was being flung from side to side and there were several very uncomfortable stomach-lurching sudden drops that felt like being on a fairground ride. Anyway, a posh-looking guy in a smart business suit two rows in front got up out of his seat and turned to come to the toilet at the back of the plane. I was on the last row but there was a bucket seat behind me where the stewardess was sat. She said to him, "Can you sit down sir, we are on our final descent." The guy didn't respond. He just stood there half out of his seat facing the back of the plane with a very scared look on his face. The stewardess then shouted at him to sit down and put his seat belt on at which point everyone on the plane turned to see what was going on. The guy sat down with a forlorn look on his face and we all soon realised why.

No sooner had he sat back down, the entire cabin was filled with the overwhelming stench of s***!

This was 9.30 in the morning and like most of us, the guy was up there on business for the day and judging by the suit, he had places to be and people to see but he'd s****d himself! What was he going to do?

Anyway, we landed, the stewardess got everyone's coats including his (the plane was too small to have overhead lockers) and he put his on before walking off the plane like John Wayne getting off his horse. He disapeared into the first toilet in the airport building and I couldn't help but spend the rest of the day wondering what I'd have done in the same situation. The poor, poor b*****d!
