Is the interweb broken?

My internet broke over the weekend

 

I can get to some sites, not others. So I can get here (lucky you) but links and pictures from elsewhere cannot be accessed. I can google, but am mostly not able to click the search results to bring up a page. Amazon/ebay/aol/wiki/itunes are not accessible. BBC/here and a couple of other fora I frequent are. 2 'pooters and the wifi ipod have the same problem. The pages don't load. Firefox simply runs the "loading" thing in the tab but does nothing. IE does even less.

 

I've reinstalled the hammer but am wondering if this is a problem anyone else has encountered.
