disgusting or perfectly justifiable and right?

i think i can guess.

Spitting at someone is disgusting (so, no surprise).

And I thought he'd be in quite a good frame of mind at the moment, considering this news.

Rooney's a tabloid whore - like Beckham. His missus (and to a lesser extent him) relies on the Pap. I mean, what is she? Some f***ing munter who's now trotted out as a 'style icon' and has newspaper/magazine columns. Based on what? Her journalistic skill? My erse. If the Pap dropped her, so would her lines of income

i dont disagree with that.

but exchange the word Rooney for Gerrard and it still rings true....especially the bit about their wives

Compare the b*lls*** hype around Rooney's wedding with the publicity of Gerrard's.

The Rooneys take media-whoremongery to levels not seen since the Beckhams f***ed off.

depends on whether you think the papers interest in their respective weddings was fed by them or not...i mean you sign an exclusivity deal with a magazine..papers will still try to sell their papers based on the stories...ive no doubts the papers think theyll sell more with the rooneys in it than the gerrards...is that being media whores though...i mean curran had her mirror column and now her magazine column...gerrard had tv cameras following him around for how long...gets that profile up a bit higher doesnt it and smacks of media whoredom a tad more to me.

Need a better example of disgraceful media whoremongering?

Rooney and The S*n a good/bad enough example for you??

So you agree that Rooney's a tw*t?

i agree hes a media whore as is his wife...but no more than steven gerrard and his wife are...or indeed most footballers these days would be given the chance(though there are some notable exceptions).

Don't really think thats true, Look at Huckerby for example, a legend yet he still doesn't want his wife promoted

Get away with you. Coleen McLoughlin and Alex Curran get the same amount of media attention??

so its the perceived disgracefulness of the actually media-whoredom that suddenly become the issue here not the actual level of media-whoredom.

id say the club you support would be a major factor in how disgraceful you think the rooney/s*n whoremongering was.

to a liverpool fan the only thing that would be perceived as worse was if it was actually one of their own players who did it (probably), to your average notts county/wolves/blackburn/plymouth etc fan im sure theyd not perceive it in the same way.

It's both.

No idea what point you're making here. Rooney is from Liverpool, so he was well aware of what he was doing. There are plenty of blues who support the S*n boycott. What the f*ck it has to do with Wolves fans I'm not sure.

No. Media whoring I would classify as selling out to the media, giving up your prinicples in return for a few quid. And so I think that it is entirely appropriate to discuss Rooney's deal with The S*n when discussing the subject.

Nothing to do with what team you support, but a lot to do with the fact that Rooney is a born and bred Scouser who would have been enetirely aware of what the f*** he was doing when he sold out to those c**ts.

where did i say that? i said their level of media whoredom...ie selling weddings to magazine, having fashion columns in daily national newspapers or magazines, tv shows etc

as to whether the attention they receive is similar, thats due to the papers figuring on popularity/public interest so as to sell papers....ive no doubt the media sees the rooneys as the bigger pulls and hence the level of attention...but do you really believe that if offered a TV show Curran would turn it down? theyre equal media whores...ones a bit more successful at it at the moment.

You make it seem as though McLoughlin sits around waiting for the offers to pour in. Believe me, she goes looking for that attention.

seriously you dont get the point that a liverpool fan will see it as disgraceful media whoring and most other fans will just see it as another player writing for a paper?

It's nothing to do with what team you support - it is the fact that he betrayed what used to be his city.
