Decent camping sites in North Wales or Cheshire

I'm looking for a decent camp site in North Wales or Cheshire.

Our other halves have decided they want to do a camping weekend but not too far from home.

It will be tents not caravans.

 

Can anyone recommend a decent site, with a good boozer (essential) and stuff to do (not too essential!) nearby?
