ricflairandy Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Sat in the main stand and it wasnt to bad in the first half, but when babel came on it started, and then when pennant came on went up a notch. All sorts from cocopop to bananaman, etc. Even aimed it at yakubu towards the end aswell.

All lower table clubs mimic the Mancs because they think that'll magically boost them to the top half of the table.

One of the lads at the game said that they were making hissing noises (gas) when benny came off too.
mm2259 Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 If you want to see some good old fashioned racism you should go to away games with Barnes. We are in no position to talk about racist fans, we've got lots of our own......
Gunga Din Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 One of the lads at the game said that they were making hissing noises (gas) when benny came off too. and our fans wouldnt dream of making hissing noises at Spurs. we are in no position to talk about racist fans, particularly when you see and hear what some of our away fans get up to
ricflairandy Posted October 21, 2007 Author Posted October 21, 2007 Away fans mabey. This was the evetton home fans, unless you think that the majority of the upper main stand are evertons away fans?
stressederic Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 You can put "home" or "away" in front of it if you like, but they're still fans, be they Everton's or ours. This isn't the type of thing we can take a moral high ground over.

Have you noticed that when the team is performing badly, Jermain Pennant is always the first to be singled out for barracking? I think the fact that he comes from a troubled background also counts against him.
Guest Linton Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Seems like theres a bit of trouble on the terraces again. I read somewhere that it got pretty ugly in Manchester yesterday as well.

Boca Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I was in the main stand and heard no racist comments but there was definitely hissing when Benayoun was taking a corner.
slapnuts Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 If you want to see some good old fashioned racism you should go to away games with Barnes. john?
IgPig Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Gingers shouldn't be allowed to play football. There....I said it.
Guest My Giddy Aunt Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Am i being thick. What does hissing have to do with stuff? Anyways. Yes. Everton clearly attracts the racists whereas Liverpool attracts a completely different fan.

Herbie von Smalls Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Am i being thick. What does hissing have to do with stuff?concentration camps - gassing - jews - spurs - israeli players. it passes for 'banter' amongst many of our own fans too.
Guest My Giddy Aunt Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Bloody hell. Thats pretty leftfield racism isnt it?!
Boca Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Bloody hell. Thats pretty leftfield racism isnt it?! No right wing.
Guest Ant Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Some of the chants that people I know sing about Players, which are racist, I seem to remember the one About Heskey... But who are we to judge, we where skitting someone about a accident they got when they where a child and were being Anti-Gay towards McFadden....
slapnuts Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 hissing is ok as long as you boo before it I find.
