floyd the barber Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 not just the goal, but his all round play was fantastic and for me, one of his best performances in a red shirt. by far our best player and someone who always looked to get involved, was playing his usual deep role...and never onced stopped running
Guest Snorky Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Agree about having one of his best games.

honourablegeorge Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 He was deffo MoM, aye. One bright spot in a game where pretty much everyone stank. Mascherano was the only other player who was awake, even if he couldn't pass.
So Cal Red Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Kuyt was his usual hardworking self again... fantastic display from him... any striker would be lucky to have a strike partner like him! how some on here can rate Voronin (who i like - as our 3rd choice striker) ahead of Kuyt just leaves me flabbergasted!
bazz Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 He was our best players last night! Simple as Don't think this thread will get as many replied as the ones that slate Kuyt's performances
D.Boon Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 He was excellent last night. I still believe he deserves to partner Torres as first choice

People can rate Voronin higher because of his use of the ball, his vision and his technique. Kuyt was our best player yesterday, but more because of his hard defensive work than his attacking brilliance.

The big lack in Voronin's game is a bit of acceleration but otherwise he's a fine player. And Kuyt is a fine player too for that matter, just brings different qualities into the mix when he plays.

He was our best player, he scored the goal to win us a point. he then worked even harder in another position when asked, but you still slate him. He did the jobs of two players last night and scored a vital goal. You clearly have agenda's for certain players don't you, you really are tiresome with your juvenile analysis.

You see it as slating Kuyt for some weird reason, I said he was our best player, while I see it as praising Voronin and his abilities.
Guest RedIsMyColour Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Kuyt was very good last night, a real team guy. He'll be here for a while I reckon, he's someone who you'd want besides you in a battle. Pity he can't trap a bag of cement at times.
Hassony Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 he has been excellent all season, there is no doubt that he is one half of our best forward line
Maldini Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I thought he was our best player, but that wasn't hard, overall I don't think he played that well.
fred milne Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Overall I don't think he played that well. The best of a poor bunch. He worked hard and was alert enough for the goal.

I don't see what he said there that's wrong really.
