US government

I didn't want to hijack the other thread so I started a new one. What is the opinion of Brits in the US regarding the American form of government. Lets ignore foreign policy and the military (yes I know its hard) as well as the fact that they are building a wall to keep the Mexicans out.

 

As Jonshar said in the other thread, it is kind of sad that the best governor in the US is a former actor, however, Schwarzenegger has a long history of involvement politics and I feel that career politicians are the scum of the earth and we'd be better off with more people like Ahnuld switching fields.

 

The two party system really seems to restrict choices and should be done away with. In the end though, it seems to me that the system here provides a lot more stability than that in most other countries and works reasonably well inspiite of its flaws.......thats in comparison to flawed governments the world over.

 

What I can't stand are states like NY which are insanely regulated because the govt lackies need to justify their salaries.
