Wondering if anyone could help with some information on adult/child tickets, could an adult go on their own with this type of tickets?

Tell them the child died suddenly on the way to the ground.

Always great material for a joke that.

And I thought Bernard Manning had died.

You can try, but I would doubt very much if you were successful.

Surely you can find a child to go with you? making sure you get in and getting a bit of money out their parents at the same time

Of course you can - the adult/child thing is not a combined ticket for two people, its two separate tickets desigend to allow family groups to sit together in a particular sedction of the ground - presumably the idea is that it is less rough and hass less abuse/swearing in it than the rest of the ground. If you get adult/child tickets they are sold as two separate tickets. You couldn't buy a single adult ticket for that section but if you bu tickets for the adult/child ticketed area there is nothing to stop you going in on your own as an adult (or child) and taking your seat. When my kids were younger we regularly went in there and (a) there would always be adults who appered to be there without kids and (b) we weree never once challenged at the turnstile or in the seated are about who the kids were with and whose ticket was whose.

You could always give it a local lad if you're really stuck/worried?
