Tactically I think the man is first class but do you think he motivates players link Maureen or get the best out of players like Fergie does ala Ronaldo or Wenger does out of Van Persie etc

Would players like Cisse, Gonzalez or Morientes have been better players under them.

Does Rafa put more into tactics and systems rather than understanding his players and making them better?

In my opinion Raffa just puts more into winning trophies.

Don't think Cisse or Speedy were good enough, simply. They probably wouldn't have done better in ManU or Chelsea.

As for Morientes, a bit of mystery for most of us. Not sure it was Rafa's fault.

Both Sir Blur and Mourinho have made bad signings so nothing unique there. In one way you could say Rafa got less out of his players because we ended quite a bit behind them in the last two seasons. That is to say our team would be almost a good as them. IMO we haven't had a good enough team to match them so far. But they have also underperformed which is to say Rafa might not have got the best out of the squad. If it's down to his man-management I have no clue but I don't think so.

For Morientes see Rush in Italy, just didn't settle, both of them were still class.

Rafa would have asked him to track back too much, thus meaning he had no time to turn water into wine or raise the dead.

System comes before the man. I think he's a great trainer, but we don't always get to see the best of a player.

what manager gets the best out of every player?

The original poster mentioned Maurenho as being a coach who does get the best out of players, so why then I wonder did he not get the best out of the likes of Kezman, Boularhouz, Del Horno, Wright Phillips and Shevchenko to name a few.
