Lord of the Rings

[Will]

Went to see this last night - and my overall summary is good, but not great

Very spectacular in parts, but most of the songs were very unmemorable, and not all of the singing was that great either

Very clever staging at times and you can see they have spent shedloads on the design and stages

If you don't know the books or the films, then I think you'd struggle to follow it. Compared to the films it's probably 65% Fellowship, 5% Two Towers and 30% ROTK. No Theodyn/Eomer/Wormtongue at all or Faramir.

If you are going, I suggest you get in your seats early as there is some semi entertaining pre-show stuff going on in the theatre

Very glad I went, but 6/10
