is he the schitty sports shop bloke ?

according to wikipedia yes.

had his fingers in such fine pies as Donnay.

They call him the "British Howard Hughes".

Seems to have a few bob at his disposal, so they can now join the £30 million pound chase for Darren Bent, and also make a £20 million swoop for Wes Brown

Lets see how much Fat Cvnt can make out of this with his dodgy deals

There aren't gonna be enough good players in the game for all the cash that clubs will have this summer

Us, Newcastle, Villa, WH, Chelsea & the mancs will all be spending a lot by the sounds. Though I wouldn't necessarily expect Newcastle to go after good players even if they become flush

Also. He hasn't got any of Shepherd's yet. Be great if the fat c*** refuses to budge

I think that's the point, what this will do is push up the value of mediocre players, similar to a few years ago when prices of average to decent players went through the roof.

Swings and roundabouts, but might help us to get higher prices for any players rafa might want to offload this summer.

true, but how much will really inflate the top end ? as you said its probably the average to decent players ( that are known) who's prices will go up most

are you thinking of the Souness years? He did exactly the same when he was in charge of us... Paul Stewart etc. No. I shouldn't . I don't want to be reminded.

He's launched an offer for them now - £133m.

He must be mad.

I disagree. Buy the club, get some of that new tv money in, sell the naming rights to the stadium for a wedge, sign the shirtless Geordies a new striker as a peace offering, and get out of Dodge in 2 years. I can see this going well for him.
